Why a Amazon India payment is late or short
- The order is still inside its DD+7 hold, or delivery wasn't confirmed, so it hasn't been released.
- Amazon kept an account-level reserve, so part of the balance moved to the next settlement.
- Refunds, A-to-z claims or chargebacks were taken from the settlement.
- Fees or FBA charges were deducted, so the transfer arrived short.
- Bank account details need verification, or the transfer failed and will be retried.
What to do, step by step
- 1In Seller Central, open Payments, then All Statements, and download the settlement report (flat file V2) for the period.
- 2Find the order IDs you expected and check whether they're in a settlement or still held.
- 3Look at the reserve lines: money held back appears as a reserve and is released later.
- 4For a delivered order not paid after its DD+7 hold and the next transfer, open a case in Seller Central with the order ID.
