Zomato and Swiggy
How to read your Swiggy payout annexure, and what to check before you accept the payout
By the Veritally team · Updated · 7 min read
Quick answer
Each order's net payout is what the customer paid (item total plus packaging, less your discounts, plus GST), less Swiggy's fees with 18% GST, less complaint and cancellation cuts, less taxes (GST under section 9(5), TCS and TDS). Check the commission on every order, look at the Unresolved customer complaints tab for orders held back, and match the UTR on the Summary to your bank.
Key points
- Swiggy emails the annexure with each payout and you can download it in the app under past payouts.
- The tabs: Summary (with the UTR), Payout Breakup, Order Level, Unresolved customer complaints, Other charges and deductions, Discount summary and Glossary.
- Orders on the Unresolved customer complaints tab aren't lost: they are paid in the next cycle once you act on the complaint.
- Ads and other restaurant-level charges show a Total, a Settled and an Outstanding amount: the settled part came out of this payout, the rest carries forward.
- TDS under section 194-O has been 0.1% since 1 October 2024.
Where to get it
Swiggy sends the annexure by email every time a payout is released, and you can download it in the partner app under past payouts. Use the Excel file.

How one order's net payout is worked out
1. Customer paid
- Item total plus packaging is your gross sales.
- Less your restaurant discount: only your share. If you fund 80% of a ₹100 offer, ₹80 shows here.
- Less any Swiggy One exclusive offer you opted into.
- That gives the net bill value.
- Plus the 5% GST, which gives the total customer paid.
2. Swiggy fees
- Commission: your contract % times the commissionable value.
- Long distance charges, if you opted in, and Pocket Hero fees.
- Payment collection charges.
- 18% GST on all of these fees.
3. Complaints and cancellations
- Your share of cancelled orders, under your cancellation policy.
- Refunds for customer complaints that you accepted, or that expired.
4. Taxes
- GST under section 9(5): the customer's GST, which Swiggy pays to the government for you.
- TCS: only if your restaurant isn't registered for GST on the platform.
- TDS at 0.1%.
Net payout is customer paid, less fees, less complaints and cancellations, less taxes.
A real annexure from September 2022 (outlet details left out) shows the arithmetic: customer payable ₹42, less the service fee with taxes ₹11.88 and the 9(5) GST ₹2, gives ₹28.12 before TDS; less TDS ₹0.40, the payout is ₹27.72.
What to check every week
- Commission on every order against your contract rate.
- Each order adds up: customer paid less fees, cuts and taxes equals the net payout.
- Complaint and cancellation cuts: each should match a complaint you saw in the app.
- Held orders: resolve them in the app; they are paid next cycle. Don't count them as lost.
- Other charges and deductions: every ad campaign and purchase should be one you agreed to. Read the remarks and invoice number.
- The bank: the UTR on the Summary should match a credit for the same amount.
Veritally does this for you: upload the Excel file on the check page with the Swiggy tab chosen.
Frequently asked questions
Why is an order missing from this week's payout?
Look at the Unresolved customer complaints tab. Orders with a complaint you haven't acted on are held; once you resolve it in the app, Swiggy pays them in the next cycle.
Why was an ad deducted this week that I ran last week?
When a week's earnings don't cover your ads, Swiggy carries the balance forward. The Other charges and deductions tab shows it in a separate table, with the amount settled now and what is still outstanding.
Is the GST under 9(5) a charge?
No. It is the customer's GST, collected in the order value and paid to the government on your behalf.
