The 15-minute weekly payout check every restaurant and cloud kitchen should do
By the Veritally team · · 3 min read
Delivery payouts come every week. If you check them every week, problems stay small. If you check them once a year, they are already too old to dispute.
Why weekly
Delivery apps settle restaurants on a weekly cycle. Disputes about orders, ads and complaints usually have to be raised within a limited time. A weekly check fits the rhythm of the payouts and keeps you inside every window.
Before you start
Pick one fixed time, for example the morning after your payouts usually arrive. Keep these ready:
- This week's Zomato settlement report or Swiggy annexure (order level, not just the summary)
- Your own order history or POS export for the same days
- Your bank statement, or just the bank app
The 15-minute routine
Minutes 1 to 3: did the money arrive?
Find each platform's payout in your bank. Note the amount and date. If a payout is missing or late, raise it today.
Minutes 4 to 7: commission and fees
Open the order-level statement. Sort by commission percentage, or look at the commission column for a sample of orders. Every order should be at your contracted rate. An order at a higher rate stands out.
Minutes 8 to 10: ads and discounts
Compare ad deductions with what you set in your campaigns this week. Check that discounts charged to you are only the ones you signed up for.
Minutes 11 to 13: complaints and cancellations
Look at every complaint refund recovered from you. For each one, ask: was this really our mistake? If you have a packing photo or a note that says otherwise, dispute it.
Minutes 14 to 15: missing orders
Compare the number of delivered orders in your own records with the number paid in the statement. If your POS shows more delivered orders, find which ones are missing.
Write it down
Keep a simple weekly log: payout received, commission issues, ad and discount issues, complaints disputed, missing orders. After a month you will see patterns, such as one outlet always charged a higher rate, or complaints clustered on one dish.
Help for the hard parts
The guides explain each report: Zomato settlement report explained and Swiggy payout annexure explained.
Veritally for Restaurants does the whole routine in about a minute: upload this week's statement, your order history and your bank statement on your own phone, and see every order charged above your usual rate, every deduction worth questioning, held orders and anything missing from your bank. We never ask for your Zomato or Swiggy login.
Frequently asked questions
How often do Zomato and Swiggy pay restaurants?
Typically on a weekly cycle, but check your own agreement and partner dashboard for your exact settlement days.
What is the most common payout problem for restaurants?
Owners most often question complaint refunds recovered from them, ad deductions that do not match campaigns, and orders charged at a different commission rate than agreed.
Do I need to give Veritally my Zomato or Swiggy password?
No. You download your own statement and upload it. Veritally never asks for a platform login.
